Sophie Schleicher is a folk singer and Morris dancer based Denver, Colorado. In 2016, they started their YouTube channel Sunday Sea Songs as a personal project to explore their interest in the vast and varied body of maritime music. Their debut album of the same name was released in November of 2022 and is a bit of a first pancake, but it has some nice moments. You can listen below or on Bandcamp

While songs of the sea still hold their heart, they've since begun dabbling in the broader world of folk, with a particular interest in English songs and tunes. When not singing, Sophie manages a music school, makes and plays the rhythm bones, writes the occasional folk review, and is attempting to become a squeezeboxer with varying degrees of success.

You can catch them dancing with Maroon Bells Morris and Breathless in BerthoudThey also run a folk singaround in Aurora, CO every third Saturday - come sing with us! More information on the Folk Singaround tab.
